The Role of Drugs and Alcohol in Urban Minority Adolescent Suicide Attempts

This study examined psychopathology & substance abuse in 15 African American adolescents who had attempted suicide & a control group who were not suicidal. The suicidal youth were found to have significant levels of depression & they also used more drugs & alcohol than the control group.
