This presentation discussed a study of 2388 suicides that occurred in Bangalore, India. Police records provided the data which were tabulated & statistically analysed to delineate the characteristics of high risk populations. Similarities & differences between male & female high risk groups were also discussed as were the implications of the observed findings for the poor.
