This document presents the 2007 model of Australia’s national suicide prevention strategy. It outlines the framework for action & 6 action areas, including: improving the evidence base & understanding of suicide prevention; building individual resilience & the capacity for self-help; improving community strength, resilience, & capacity in suicide prevention; taking a co-ordinated approach to suicide prevention; providing targeted suicide prevention activities; & implementing standards & quality in suicide prevention.
