Canada M~~Heath M A~~et al
Minimal research has focused on providing crisis services in a manner sensitive to the unique needs of culturally, linguistically, & ethnically diverse populations. 236 school consellors responded to a random national survey; approximately half expressed concerns relating to crisis services. Specific topics of concern most frequently mentioned were school violence & suicide. Particular attention & sensitivity is needed in addressing these topics in crisis plans, taking into account the unique needs of the individual, family, & community. (30 refs.)
