This study explored hope in 10 young adults in Australia. Two methods were used to encourage participants to reflect on their experiences of hope – taking pictures of what they believed showed hope & participation in an indepth interview, prompted in part by their photographs. Four horizons of hope were revealed: at-one-with; a driving force; having choices; & connecting & being connected. Perspective are offered on how these might be considered by nurses caring for young people. (7 refs.)
