This book is divided into 4 sections. Section 1 has an introductory chapter & a chapter on historical & theoretical foundations. The second section discusses populations at risk including children & adolescents, young & middle-aged adults, the elderly, ethnic & minority groups, people with mental & emotional disorders, people with physical illnesses, & other high-risk groups. Section 3 includes chapters on prevention, assessment, intervention, & legal & ethical issues. The final section has a single chapter on postvention.
