This chapter discusses the eventful admissibility & eventual desirability of legalization of active euthanasia, against the background of the situation in the Netherlands. A brief history of euthanasia is provided. The author concludes open discussions on every aspect of disease & death must be possible between patient & doctor. (12 refs.)(CH)
