This report sets out the key findings & recommendations of the Case Management of Self-harm Project. A randomized controlled trial was used to compare routine medical & psychiatric management enhanced by a nurse practitioner-led case management model of service delivery with routine management only of adult individuals seen in the A&E Department following deliberate self-harm.
