Patterns of Regional Mental Illness Disorder Diagnoses and Service use in Manitoba: a Population-Based Study

This report is designed to provide an overview of population-based indicators on the prevalence of mental illness, & the patterns of health care use of those diagnosed with mental illness. Chapter 9 provides an overall description of suicide-related behaviours & population-based risk factors in Manitoba from 1997 to 2001. Age & sex differences are discussed, & key factors predicting attempted & completed suicides are identified. (4 refs)
