It provides a framework for bereavement counselling; identifies helping skills required for the outreach worker; explores the personal impact of grief, issues surrounding sudden & secondary losses, & grieving rituals; outlines gender issues in bereavement; & suggests strategies for maintaining self-care & avoiding burnout.
