This document is an update of The Commission on Theology & Church Relations’ 1979 “Report on Euthanasia With Guiding Principles.” It is intended to assist members of the Lutheran Church in applying Christian principles to current dilemmas facing those struggling with the end of life. Relevant principles are presented in groups according to the interrelationships among them, followed by pertinent case studies. For those wishing to explore in more detail the biblical perspective on this issue, a Bible study has been included. (27 refs)
