This article presents the case of a youth who completed suicide, accompanied by a discussion of the hypothetical Satir model treatment of this youth while alive. The numerous interventions of the Satir model, with current applications toward dealing with suicidal youth in a humanist & hopeful way, are discussed. The Satir focus on coping stances in communication are also discussed. (20 refs)
