The Rape of Boys and the Impact of Sexually Predatory Environments: Review and Case Reports

This paper describes the effect of rape & the impact of sexually predatory environments on young boys & the resulting sequelae in adulthood. 2 case histories are presented which illustrate the psychic devastation, including suicidal ideation & suicide attempts, that occurs following childhood sexual trauma. Suicide is discussed throughout in terms of being a long term sequelae of childhood sexual abuse. Other issues, including feelings of powerlessness, betrayal, & emasculation, are also explored.
