Abstract
The Possible Value of the Electroencephalogram in Detecting Subclinical Hypothyroidism Associated With Agitated Depression: a Case Study
Fader B W~~Struve F A
A case is presented in which the electroencephalographic results appear to be the only laboratory finding suggesting a state of subclinical hypothyroidism complicating an apparently functional agitated depression in a 23 year old female with repeated suicide attempts. The relationship between depressive illness & psychosis & abnormal thyroid metabolism is discussed. (17 refs)
