Season, Sunlight, Suicide, and Serotonin Turnover in Brain

This article briefly reports on the role of seasonal variations in sunlight & their affect on serotonin turnover in individuals suffering from suicidal ideation. It is argued that the relationship between sunlight & serotonin explains the presence of increased suicide rates at higher latitudes. (2 refs)
