In this essay, the author examines the arguments against physician-assisted suicide (PAS) made by S Wolf in her essay, “Gender, Feminism, & Death: Physician-Assisted Suicide & Euthanasia.” The current author argues that Wolf’s analysis of PAS, while timely & instructive in many ways, does not require that feminists reject policy approaches that might permit PAS. The essay concludes with reflections on the relationship between feminism & questions of agency, especially women’s agency. (34 refs)
