The objective of this study was to review critically the past 10 years of research on youth suicide. Findings concerning trends in suicide rates, mental health issues, the role of biology, prevention strategies, evaluation studies, advances in therapy, & various treatment issues are discussed. Suggestions for future research efforts are made. (280 refs)
