This article compared the outcome & predictors of psychosocial distress of parents bereaved by young suicides, sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), & child accidents. One objective was to explore whether suicide bereavement is more difficult for survivors than other forms of bereavement. Although no significant differences were found between survivors of suicides & accidents, both groups evinced significantly greater subjective distress than the survivors of SIDS. (62 refs)
