This manual describes the problem of youth suicide among Canada’s Aboriginal communities, providing a model for understanding Aboriginal youth suicide. A total of 17 prevention strategies are presented, & examples of existing prevention initiatives are discussed. A number of culturally-relevant resources are suggested for further assistance in efforts to implement prevention programs. As well, a step-by-step action plan to mobilize prevention groups & communities is provided.
