This report was prepared for the Wesley Mission by the Strategic Planning & Development Department in conjuction with the LifeForce Suicide Prevention Program. It provides an introduction to suicide & an overview of suicide in Australia in 1997 & 1998, including statistical comparison. Trends among selected groups are explored, & expanded focus is given to middle aged (25-44) male suicide, the influencing factors of which are discussed. The report concludes with a summary of Wesley Mission’s services.
