Report of the Workshop on Best Practices in Suicide Prevention and the Evaluation of Suicide Prevention Programs in the Arctic

This report relays information compiled during a workshop on suicide in Nunavut. Frontline suicide prevention workers, health care professionals, & researchers attended the conference in order to share information about the theoretical & practical aspects of suicide prevention in Nunavut. Summaries of all the speakers are included, organized according to date of appearance. Climactic, social & cultural characteristics of the Arctic region are described in an effort to understand the high rate of suicide among Inuit people. (SC)
