This article discusses critical issues surrounding suicide in AIDS patients including: terminal illness, homosexuality, minority drug addiction, bankruptcy, rejection, & psychiatric disorder. It explores specific characteristics of suicide in AIDS patients, as well as the relationship between AIDS & rational suicide. The phenomenon of people who seek to contract AIDS as a means for committing suicide is very briefly discussed. (17 refs)
