Brain 5-HT Uptake Sites, Labelled With 3H-Paroxetine, in Post-Mortem Samples From Depressed Suicide Victims

This article reports the binding of 3H paroxetine in six brain regions from suicides in whom a firm retrospective diagnosis of depression was established and who were not receiving antidepressant drugs, and matched controls. This finding does not support the view of abnormal (5-HT) uptake sites in depression and suicide. (3 refs)
