The many religions of the world bring diverse, & occasionally divergent, attitudes to bioethical issues. These beliefs often guide patients & health professionals in the health care setting. To further understanding of religious beliefs in our pluralistic & global society, this annotated bibliography identifies literature by major religious groups on topics in bioethics including: attitudes to health & health care, physician-patient relationship, treatment refusal, abortion, contraception, sterilization, reproductive technologies, genetics, mental health, human sterilization, organ transplantation & donation, death, euthanasia, suicide, & prolongation of life.
