Comments on the article by J.M. Bostwick & V.S. Pankraz regarding affective disorders & suicide risk. In this comment, the authors believe that the study provides great insight & affirmation of the strength of the association between affective disorders & suicide in clinical groups. The authors of this comment highlight findings from a community-based longitudinal study based on 13 years of follow-up.
