This article briefly reports a study in which the author correlated measures of firearm availability (strictness of gun control laws & per capita subscription rates to 3 firearm-related magazines) with the age-adjusted firearm death rates (from suicides, homicides, & accidents) of the states. 1 of the 4 measures of gun availability was significantly associated with the incidence of firearm-related deaths.
