In this letter to the editor, Beasley comments on a review by Hamilton & Opler (1992) of the literature on akathisia, suicidality, & fluoxetine. Concern is raised that the review did not include publications relevant to the potential impact of fluoxetine administration on dopaminergic neural transmission. Hamilton & Opler’s reply follows.
