Ways Forward: National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health Policy: National Consultancy Report

This report resulted from consultation with Aborigine & Torres Strait Islander peoples & relevant groups & organizations. Extensive mental health problems & high levels of unmet needs among these populations were revealed. Many of the insights & recommendations made at the meeting are incorporated in this report. Policy proposals are contained in 16 key policy elements, including suicide & self-harm. These policy elements are drawn together to form the plan & key proposals for implementation & other recommendations are made. (273 refs.)
