This paper outlines measures Community Services Victoria (CSV) has taken in response to recommendations of the Royal Commission Into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody. Initiatives undertaken are not aimed solely at youth training centres. Community programs have also been started. The programs are designed to prevent Aboriginal deaths, particularly suicide, in custody. However, they may also prevent non-Aboriginal deaths.
