In this presentation it was argued the ultimate response to trauma is to end life. The presentation sought to show there are some fundamental experiences those in a fragmenting state need to have. It is argued if the conditions necessary for these experiences to be enjoyed are built into the planning & execution of programming, clients will no longer feel life is meaningless. Their sense of self, being valuable, & worthwhile, will enhance their desire to live.
