This presentation discussed a research project which investigated the impact of a combined services approach to care & case management of intentional self-harm clients in terms of re-presentations for a further suicide attempt & active referral outcomes. Quantitative data were collected from client files & a number of demographic variables were analyzed. Qualitative data on client satisfaction was obtained through a survey instrument. Results indicated clients were more satisfied with the follow-up management than they were with service provided in the emergency department.
