Research suggests there is an intrinsic link between youth education, the lack of work opportunity, & despair which leads to an immense loss of self-esteem & confidence, so much so for some young people suicide appears to be the only option. This presentation discussed & described the Connect Program which aims to povide young people in school with direction & options for the future. The program uses a hands-on approach to work closely with students who have been identified as being at risk of not completely school. The two parts of the program were reviewed.
