Suicide Prevention in Crisis Accomodation Services: Recognising the Signs Amongst the Crisis

This presentation discussed the role of crisis accommodation services in the prevention of suicide. Prioritising, communication, connection, case management, & interagency referrals were described as means of prevention. The issue of client rights in relation to crisis accommodation & the role of suicide intervention was addressed. Quality of life issues & interactive in-house education as a means of suicide prevention was also discussed.
