This presentation outlined the STEP Project which developed & delivered training activities in youth suicide prevention to workers with young Aboriginal people, young gay men & lesbians, & young people who are refugees. Part of the project was to promote acceptance of diversity. The complexities & methods of working with marginalized groups were described. A synopsis of current best practice for these high risk groups was provided. Intended outcomes, evaluation, & strategies for sustainability were discussed.
