Meeting the Needs of Same sex Attracted Youth? – Experiences and Recommendations From Young People and the “Youth Sexuality Project”

Drawing on the experience & evaluation of the ‘Here for Life’ Youth Sexuality Project, including cases where agencies did provide significant support, & making comparisons to other Australian studies, this presentation explored issues related to holistic health promotion issues for schools & other agencies. The presentation provided realistic & practical suggestions to assist those promoting the health of young people to ensure a young person’s same sex attraction does not hinder their development but instead helps them build strong protective & resilience skills.
