This document is a transcript of the farewell lecture given by Herman Praag, a European psychiatrist & Neurophsycologist who retired from the Maastricht University in The Netherlands in 1997. Praag speaks about his 45 years expereince in psychiatry & defines the three important areas of his life: family, study & judasim, relating professional & personal perceptions of these areas. Praag’s work focussed on psychiatric research & investigation of depression & mental dysfunctions.
