Motor Vehicle Exhaust Gassing Suicides in Australia: Epidemiology and Prevention

This report begins by outlining the methodology used in this study of suicides by motor vehicle exhaust gassing. Sections 2 & 3 present literature reviews of suicide in general & carbon monoxide poisoning specifically. Section 4 examines motor vehicle exhaust gas suicides in Australia & other countries while Section 5 examines the impact of environmental emission controls on these suicides. Prevention strategies, four recommendations & progress are discussed in Section 6.
