This study examined the relationship of the Allen Cognitive Level Test to demographics, diagnosis & disposition after hospitalization among persons with psychiatric disorders. Data were retrospectively collected on 62 female & 38 male patients. Patients with higher Allen Test scores were more likely to be younger, to have lived independently before admission, to have been given nonpsychotic diagnoses, & to have been suicidal before admission.
