The Fine Heart of Listening. Need Crisis and Information Line: Suicide Prevention in the Schools Pilot Project Evaluation Report

In April 1996 NEED Crisis Line (Victoria, BC) launched a Suicide Prevention in the Schools Program. This study evaluated the effectiveness of the classroom presentation by having all students, classroom teachers & volunteers complete a questionnaire. A sample of 26% of the students also completed a pre- & post-presentation questionnaire. The evaluation showed that the presentation is effective. Questions raised by the evaluation & recommendations resulting from the evaluation are discussed.
