This study assessed & analysed the social & psychiatric consequences of Huntington’s disease in 102 English patients & their families. One patient committed suicide & there were 10 cases of attempted suicide. In some pedigrees there was a high incidence of suicide in other family members who may have been in the prodromal phase of the illness. (5 refs.)
