In this article the author raises questions about the euthanasia debate & offers his thoughts from the perspective of a suicidologist. He provides a working definition of suicide from a psychological perspective & then discusses the pros & cons of suicide intervention. He focuses on the terminally ill & presents the views in The Netherlands & Germany. Alternatives & applications are described & the slippery slope is debated. Concludes with need for more support for the terminally ill.
