The importance of somatic pathology in the parasuicidal process was studied & results were presented in this poster. 1269 parasuicidal subjects in 9 European centres were interviewed. 12% of subjects completed suicide with most victims being in the 30-40 age range. The breaking of psycho-affective connections with the family was common among teenagers. The presenters were going to introduce the term “infantile existential syndrome” as a complex of causes potentially generating suicide.
