Community groups in WestView RHA found that collaboration is the most effective way to produce effective injury prevention programs. Steering committees with representatives from a community develop a list of injury prevention priorities by which projects are approved & funded. Current initiatives dealing with home security & safety awareness; sexual assault, harassment & dating violence; child-restraint awareness; & occupational health & safety are described.
