Data were available for 9 Canadian regions for the proportion of aboriginals in the population in 1988-1989, the aboriginal suicide rate for 1984-1988, & the aboriginal motor vehicle death rate for 1984-1988. Statistical analysis did not show an association between the size of the aboriginal population and the suicide rate. (3 refs.)
