The authors assert that suicidology finds itself confused & stagnated for lack of a standard nomenclature. In this paper, they propose a nomenclature for suicide-related behaviour in the hope of improving the clarity & precision of communications, advancing suicidological research & knowledge, & imoproving the efficacy of clinical interventions.
