Dallas Action Against Suicide

This article provides an overview of the Dallas Suicide & Crisis Center established in 1969. It describes the crisis line, intervention model support programs for suicide attempters, bereavement after suicide programs, community education, & community support. The structure & organization of this center as well as funding arrangement are outlined. The Center is accredited by the American Association of Suicidology. Its suicide prevention program for schools has been used by others as a model.
