This proceeding summarizes a paper that investigated risk factors for suicide in the elderly based on suicide notes & suicide attempts. Risk factors of depression, alcohol consumption, previous suicide attempts, organic suffering, personality types, & the lack of opportunity for elderly people to have existential dialogues to alleviate crises are presented.
