This volume reviews the diagnosis of depressive & other mood disorders, according to the current US standard system. The disorders reviewed include unipolar forms of primary mood disorders, depression not otherwise specified (DNOS) & bipolar forms of primary mood disorder. The guidelines offer a strategy for making a differential diagnosis of depression, including risk factors & clinical clues, use of laboratory & psychological tests & ongoing clinical reassessment.
