Abstract
Suicide Prevention Program: Concept and Work Plan
United States. Alaska. Health and Social Services
A new program for the prevention of suicide & other forms of self-destructive behaviours in Alaskan communities is described. The program is based on the findings & recommendations of the Senate Special Committee on Suicide Prevention & is designed to give communities the maximum amount of power to plan their own programs. The underlying concepts of the program are presented. A work plan discusses the steps to be taken prior to the awarding of funds, when funds are granted, & post-funding.
