Each chapter in this book describes one particular ethnic group & its attitudes towards childbirth, mental illness, dental care, hospitalization, & death. Information is also given on the levels of health care in the home country, & reasons for emigrating & problems of adjusting to life in Canada. The final chapter gives specific guidelines for cultural assessment, including strategies for care plans that are acceptable to both the clinician & the patient.
